Letter on Tuesday, June 10th

Hey Everyone!

So no I'm not breaking mission rules... I know you all were thinking
I'm apostate ;) Our P-day was changed because Elder Nielsen came to
our mission yesterday.  It was such an amazing day and I learned so
much from our conference with him.

On Sunday night the craziest thing happened.  We were in Sunnyside
(which is about 30 minutes from our church) trying to find a less
active family when Sister Board told me she felt weird about it.
Well, we've learned to always act on any kind of prompting since New
York can be a sketchy place so we started heading back to the church.
Right when we got there I pulled out our phone and it started ringing.
The elders called and asked me if I could run to the apartment they
were at because the man there was having some kind of health problem.
Luckily we were only 2 streets away so we ran over, gave him a quick
assessment, decided he was having a stroke and called 911. It was such
a testament to me that The Lord is in the details.  He directed us to
exactly where we needed to be and at the right time.

In my personal study this morning I came across a scripture that
perfectly describes my feelings on what happened. It's in Alma 26:37.

"Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people,
whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his
bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my
great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever.
Amen."

I know that God is mindful of each and everyone of us. He is involved
in even the smallest of details. I'm so grateful for the experiences
I've had on my mission to confirm this to me. I know that I was called
to the New York New York South mission for a reason and I feel so
grateful everyday I'm here.  I'll be missing you all on Thursday for
Tom and Julis wedding but I know this is where I'm supposed to be.
I'm so grateful for the amazing support I have. I love you all so
much!!
