So this week was pretty crazy! We got some surprising news...I'll be
training a new ASL sister! Which means...we will be in a trio for at
least 3 weeks until Sister Board finishes her training AND that I'll
FINALLY be able to start using the sign language I learned in second
grade haha. We've been busy trying to get our apartment ready and we
kinda feel like new parents preparing the nursery. We are excited to
go pick her up tonight :) Molly maybe we could have "babies" on the
same day?? ;)
Thursday was a pretty crazy day. We help serve food at a senior
community center every other week and this week on our way home we
started talking to a woman on the bus. She told us shed investigated
the church previously and was super sweet but we had to get off the
bus before we could get her phone number or address. Luckily Sister
Board has incredible faith. We got off the bus and she was like let's
pray that we will see her again. So we did and guess what... That very
night we ran into her... 20 blocks away. Which NEVER happens
considering we are in New York and there are SO many people here. It
definitely was divine intervention. It was one of the craziest 5
minutes of my life. I had just gotten the phone call that I'd be
training and was already in shock when we ran into Nazaria. To say I
was speechless would be an understatement. We both just stood there
like is this real life?! Is this really happening?! We walked her home
and taught a quick lesson. She is such an amazing person and I'm so
glad we got a second chance to talk with her.
For one of our zone finding activity this week we hit the streets with
a "honk if you prayed today" and a "Mormon.org" poster. Never thought
I'd be holding signs on street corners on my mission but it was
actually super fun and we had a great response. Who knew? Haha I love
missions! Well I hope you've all had a great week. We are off to go
pick up our new companion at the mission home so I'm out of time. Love
