Letter on Monday June 23

Hey Everyone!

Has another week really passed?! Crazy.  So our new companion is
Sister Layton.  She is the sweetest thing and we have had so much fun
in our trio.  She is from Centerville Utah and did a year at SUU
before her mission. We just love her.  I love learning ASL too.  It's
been so fun!

The work here is really picking up.  I can't believe i'm in the same
area I started my mission.  It feels completely different.  We have a
few part member families we are working with and some pretty solid
investigators.  Its been fun to watch the work grow here. I'm going to
be heartbroken when I leave this area.  One of us will probably be
leaving in a couple weeks and I am hoping it wont be me. Even though
It would mean I would spend half my mission in Astoria.... which is
crazy... but I just really love this area :D It will always hold a
piece of my heart.

The highlight of my week was on Saturday night.  We had a ward dance
party and on our way there we ran into Joanne.  Joanne is the sweetest
old woman- probably in her late 80's who we taught for the first time
this week.  We told her she should come to the dance party but didn't
think she'd actually come... but guess what?! She totally came!! We
were in helping set up when a ward member came and told us, "Theres
like this older woman with a walker waiting outside? She says shes
looking for you??" Haha we died! The music was so loud and the lights
were crazy and then there is cute little Joanne sitting with her
walker.  It was pretty comical but we had so much fun.

Its been a great week.  I'm especially excited to be an Aunt. Baby
Jude is ADORABLE. I hope you all had a great week too! I miss you!
